A huge congratulation to Civil Society Media on last night’s wonderful Charity Awards 2014! The evening was a total success and we would like to also congratulate the charity award winners, particularly AMAR International, who walked away with the Award for International Aid and Development, as presented by Ebury. AMAR International are a very deserving charity who work in areas of conflict and civil disorder, helping people to rebuild their lives within their own communities. They are also committed to developing respect and awareness of human rights in Iraqi prisons.

Now in its 15th year, The Charity Awards identifies, recognises and rewards those organisations doing exceptional work in all areas of charitable activity and last night we found some worthy winners. Comedian Stephen Frost hosted the prestigious event and under his direction, the true message behind the event shone through. It was a humbling experience to gain such insight into the great work done by the UK charity sector and the 10 Hallmarks of Excellence, against which the awards were judged, proved to contain lessons for organisations of all sizes.

Everyone on the Ebury table enjoyed the event and we were honoured to be joined by clients and other very important persons. Louis Pearce, Ebury’s Director of Sales, said, “The Charity Awards has been an excellent evening and a great opportunity to recognise the hard work done in this sector. I’ve met some inspirational people and hope all charities involved will continue to go from success to success.”

Our sponsorship of the Charity Awards could not have come at a better time; it was a pleasure to support such worthwhile causes and this is complemented by our own vast experience in helping charities with their overseas endeavours through our bespoke FX services.
