Ebury was proud to support William Fields, of the UK FX Sales team, who was selected to represent England in the 2014 Home International Regatta. William competed in the Men’s Coxless Four in Cork, Ireland on 26th July. The team came second to Ireland, missing out on the top position by less than a second after a great performance throughout.

The Home International Regatta is an annual event where England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales compete against each other in various boat classes to determine the best Home Country of the year. Rowing teams are selected from regattas raced throughout england rowersthe season including Henley Royal Regatta and Ghent International Regatta.

The crew William rowed with was the England Men’s Four, team mates including Adam Lodygowski, Will Thomson and Nathan O’Reilly. The boat was made up of all but one of William’s rowing club the Tideway Scullers which made the final of the Wyfold Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta this season.

William took up rowing when he was 18, having been introduced to the sport by his grandfather who also used to row. At 19 he was invited to row at Tideway Scullers School in Chiswick, London which is a high performance rowing club and one of the most successful in the world. Competing for Tideway Scullers William has represented England twice, competed in two Henley Finals and won various domestic races around the UK.

Ebury is proud to support such a dedicated athlete. William has been with Ebury as part of the FX Sales team since October 2013, after studying Economics at Kingston University.
