Ebury is proud to be a founding member of #GivingTuesday.

#GivingTuesday takes place on December 2nd and is an opportunity to heighten awareness of the amazing work done in the charitable sector worldwide and encourage giving on a global scale. After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. For Ebury, it is an endorsement of the dedication and drive of our numerous charity clients. Ebury is proud to once again be involved in a campaign with CAF (Charities Aid Foundation), after earlier in the year sponsoring The UK Charity Awards 2014, as part of our ongoing commitment to the charity sector.

As a fintech company which specialises in the provision of foreign exchange solutions for the charitable sector, we are committed to helping charities achieve fair exchange rates and reduce the effect currency volatility has on their available funds. We work with a number of charity clients which we help to save money on a daily basis, but we want to do more than this, which is why we’ve chosen to be part of #GivingTuesday.

Being a founding partner means Ebury can enable UK charities to benefit like their US neighbours from a day that encourages everyone to pledge themselves to new charitable efforts. Ebury understands how difficult it can be for charities to gain access to the right financial services but also how important it is to have the right connections. Ebury feels that having a currency provider with a direct connection with #GivingTuesday, and the other incredible founding partners, can only benefit our clients. We hope that our charity clients and all involved make the most of #GivingTuesday on December 2nd and use the momentum from this project to gain as many donations as possible.

To coincide with #GivingTuesday, Ebury will pledge to introduce Payroll Giving to our employees and will be co-ordinating various charitable events and activities to generate donations. This project is about more than the individual causes and instead about national contributions and raising awareness of how many dedicated charities there are in the UK and the inspiring work they do.

#GivingTuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back. Ebury will be, and we hope you will too.
