Ebury at London’s LME week

After waiting for months, LME week is finally upon us! The LME dinner was one of the best in recent years and attended by over 1800 people, with some great entertainment. Ebury emerged victorious after correctly betting on the speech length from Keynote Speaker, the Hon. Apurv Bagri, after the usual delaying tactics employed by the some of the crowd.

Copper Semi Producers seem to be in a conservative mood and unwilling to commit themselves too much at the published official Premiums from Refined Producers. This is understandable considering the current European Premiums although this could potentially backfire in the Middle of 2015 when many are looking to buy spot material at once. There are expected increases in smelting capacity in China, the export tax for Russian Cathodes for 2015 suggest little shortage of material available for the year but how many times have we heard that there will be a Surplus NEXT year…

Ebury specialises in the supply and trade of LME registered base metals. We have a team of highly experienced traders with strong producer and supplier relationships across the globe supplying non-ferrous metals including LME brand, LME grade, off grade and scrap material. These activities are supported by our offices in the UK, the Netherlands and Spain, in addition to agents in Chile and Germany.
