Time to celebrate #GivingTuesday

Today is #GivingTuesday! Take this opportunity to appreciate the amazing work done in the charitable sector worldwide and join a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to come together to show the world why it’s good to give. For Ebury, it is an endorsement of the dedication and drive of our numerous charity clients and we are proud to be involved as part of our ongoing commitment to the sector.

As a fintech company, which specialises in the provision of foreign exchange solutions for the charitable sector, we are committed to helping charities achieve fair exchange rates and reduce the effect currency volatility has on their available funds. We work with a number of charities, which we help to save money on a daily basis, but we want to do more than this, which is why we chose to become a founding member of #GivingTuesday. We hope that our charity clients and all involved make the most of #GivingTuesday and use the momentum from this project to gain as many donations as possible.

To coincide with #GivingTuesday, Ebury is launching Payroll Giving for our UK employees allowing them to make more effective donations to their respective charities. This is something we pledged to do upon joining #GivingTuesday as a founding partner and we look forward to implementing this in our other European offices as the company continues to expand.

We also celebrated the event today with a pizza sale in our main London office, from which all proceeds will be going to charity. The pizzas came courtesy of Maverick on Buckingham Palace Road, who we would like to thank for this generous donation.

The empty pizza boxes formed a veritable tower and we appreciate how many people got involved and took the time to give something back.

Some of the funds we raise today will be going to Hope for Children who provide crucial support to children who really need it. A special mention also goes to RNIB and we encourage you to get involved in their #passtheparcel twitter campaign in order to raise awareness for those suffering with sight loss.

#GivingTuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back. Ebury has been inspired to get involved, and we hope you will too.
